Christmas For Free

In December of 2011, while I was doing my Christmas shopping, I started wondering if I could find a way to spend less and still enjoy giving my family and friends great presents.  I found myself rushing from store to store, spending too much, and feeling overwhelmed.  It was time to try something different.  So, I decided to start my Christmas shopping plan in January.  And to spend none of my husband's income (I'm a stay-at-home mom).  Here's my plan.

1.  Swagbucks.  Swagbucks is a primarily a search engine that pays you to search the web.  I have been using Swagbucks for years.  So, when I started my blog, I became an affiliate.

As of 7/6/2012, I've earned $170 in Amazon Gift Cards and $50 in Walmart Gift Cards.  My husband also has an account and has earned about $65 in Amazon Gift Cards.  Not a bad start!  I maximize my earnings by searching the web, taking the daily poll, completing the NOSO offer, watching SBTV and SBTV mobile, playing games, and completing surveys.  The bucks really add up fast!

2.  Sneakpeeq.  Sneakpeeq is an online shopping site.

Signing up is easy and they usually offer a free gift.  When I signed up, I received a pearl ring - which I plan on giving to my daughter for Christmas.  It is really cute and I know she'll love it.  I also received a $10 credit which I haven't used yet.  I am also a Sneakpeeq affiliate.

3.  e-Rewards. e-Rewards.com is an online survey site.  I've been with them for years.  I have no affiliation with the site but I have had good luck with them.  So far this year, I have earned $50 in American Eagle Gift Cards.  It hasn't taken too much time and it's very easy to sign up and get started.

4.  Blog Giveaways. I enter blog giveaways from time to time.  And I've won some great prizes - $100 Michaels GC, $50 Cutting Edge wall stencil, $50 Shabby Apple GC, etc.  It usually doesn't take long to enter so why not?

5.  Freebies.  I follow some coupon sites and find all sorts of freebies.  Everything from toothbrushes to nail polish.  These small items make great stocking stuffers.

6.  Regifting.  I have received some nice gifts over the years - but sometimes these are things I really have no use for.  So, instead of tossing them, I plan on passing them along to someone who could use them.
